On 10 October 2023, the popular Vienna Crime Night will take place again. In the nineteenth year of its existence, the now traditional crime night in the Viennese coffee house relies on grandees of horror, murder and manslaughter from domestic and German-speaking regions as well as international star authors.
Eva Rossmann will be reading from "Fine Dying" at our Café Landtmann. From 8 p.m. onwards, crime fiction fans can listen to the author's captivating tales over a glass of wine, coffee and homemade cakes.

Eva Rossmann
Born in Graz in 1962; lives in the Weinviertel. Constitutional lawyer, journalist, author, cook, ORF presenter non-fiction, screenplays.
In her crime novels about the Viennese journalist Mira Valensky and her Bosnian-born cleaning lady and friend Vesna Krajner, she deals with current socio-political issues, with what lurks behind the glossy facades of our consumer world. Since her crime novel Ausgekocht also a cook in Buchinger's inn "Zur Alten Schule". Austrian book favourite 2009. 2013 "Styria's Grand Josef Krainer Prize for Literature".
Fine Dying
Fine dining is no longer profitable, luxury restaurants are closing. Inns can't find workers. The gastronomy is in upheaval. Who still wants to search for the ultimate taste? Will the cooking and service brigades even be replaced by robots?
In the 'Apfelbaum' inn, the world still seems to be in order. But then the Syrian assistant chef is stabbed to death. The Viennese journalist Mira Valensky and her friend Vesna Krainer on a hunt through gourmet temples, gastronomic clichés and the power of public opinion.
At the Café Museum, author Markus Deisenberger will read from "Winter in Wien" from 6 pm.
